About a year before my father died, I used the camcorder on myphone to record him singing “Into the Wild Blue Yonder,” the official song of the U.S Air Force.  Dad entered the US Army Air Force in 1943 as an air cadet, training to be a pilot.  He did well, but didn’t qualify for fighter pilot status.  He later enlisted and became a radio technician, eventually attached to the 379th Bombardment Group in Kimbolton, England.

So here’s PFC Shirley Leo Roberts (1923-2011), USAAF.  Enjoy.  Share, if you’d like.
