The answer, as the young folks are fond of saying, hellz yeah!

Lots of  other factors aren’t considered in the chart, as the article points out.  We might be reading more Snooki than Steinbeck.  Reminds me of when The Bridges of Madison County was befouling the bestseller lists.  People I never thought would crack open a book were reading it and all aswoon about “quality literature.”

So we might be reading more, despite the fear that the Internets would be the death of the written word and of decent stuff getting published (and Hi, Mr. Ellison).  But what are we reading?
