Today’s Google Doodle celebrates what would have been the 93rd birthday of Saul Bass, the King of Title Design.  His style was unmistakable and set the tone for whatever movie was to follow, whether it was whimsical (the original Oceans 11 or It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World) or intense (the jostled lines for the titles of Psycho).  Plus he was the designer of the Bell Telephone and Warner Bros. logos.
